Interviews on Maharishi Vastu in Great Britain

Interviews on the theory and experience of living in Maharishi Garden Village in Rendlesham, UK. Ancient principles of architecture – Maharishi Vastu or Sthapatya Veda, applied to a modern housing development in rural Suffolk.

Architect John Renwick gives insights into some of the principles of Maharishi Vastu architecture, such as the Brahmasthan, the center of silence and wholeness in the house.

Maharishi Garden Village is a development planned and built entirely in accord with Natural, which means with respect to architecture, according to the principles of Maharishi Vastu.

All the buildings are in local Suffolk style. This is an important point to notice when we think about ancient principles of architecture — it does not mean that the building has to look ancient! These ancient, very basic principles to design and build a house allow us to build in any local style or according to personal taste.

Also the experiences of living in Maharishi Vastu buildings are naturally different from person to person, but generally everyone finds an overall or specific improvement of life — greater focus, more joy of life, increased good fortune, better heath, more peace and harmony.
